Q: "How much to walk my dog?"
A: Loving Care charges $18 per visit to walk your dog, and $2 for each additional animal. A visit lasts 25 minutes. We will change the dog's water and feed if requested.
Q: "How long have you been dog walking"?
A: Winnetka residents Claudia and Rockey Flintermann started Loving Care as a dog walking business in 1998, serving customers in New Trier Township. References are available upon request.
Q: "Who walks my dog"?
A: Loving Care currently has 5 full time dog walkers. We always try to have the same walker visit your dog. All our walkers are insured through State Farm Insurance.
Q: "Do you have a cancellation policy"?
A: Call to cancel an appointment one hour prior to the scheduled visit(s). If access to your home is not possible (locked door that was supposed to be open; wrong key given), the normal fee for the visit will be charged.
Q: "How do I make an appointment?"
A: Prior to any dog walking, a customer interview with Loving Care must occur in your home. At that time we collect contact information, house access information, vet information, medical information about your animal(s), feeding instructions and credit card information. Most of our customers are on a monthly billing cycle, and their credit card will be charged at the end of the month.
Q: "Do you accept same-day requests?"
A: Loving Care will always attempt to accomodate same-day requests; however, visits may be abbreviated and requested times may not be possible. Dog walking schedules are created the previous day, so if your same-day request cannot be scheduled, consider daycare at The Ranch as a possible solution. The Ranch opens at 6:30am and closes at 5pm, Monday thru Saturday.
Q: "What about bad weather? Do you still come?"
A: Dog walks may be abbreviated due to the following kinds of weather: Temps above 90 degrees, temps below 20 degrees, sleet, heavy rain, thunder and/or lightning, heavy snowfall, iced walkways and sidewalks.
